Paul Hourican is the Chairman & Founder of PFH, which he created in 1985. Paul grew PFH organically until 2006 when he commenced a number of strategic acquisitions across the ICT sector including CK Business Systems, Siemens Communications and Redstone Enterprise. When he was CEO of PFH, Paul led the integration of the various companies into the enlarged and nationwide group that is now PFH Technology Group. He is also Chairman of a private property investment group and advises various businesses on strategy and acquisitions.
Anne is an independent Non-executive director, a member of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants and holds a diploma in Company direction from the Institute of Directors. Anne was a senior audit partner with Ernst & Young (EY) in Cork until her retirement in June 2020. Since then, she has joined the board Ornua where she is both a member of the board and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Remuneration sub committee.
Anne is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants, having qualified for membership in 1982. She has served, and continues to serve, on charitable boards, where she is a member of the audit committee.
Declan has a proven executive management record and over twenty-five years’ experience developing and building enterprise computing businesses. He has focused on business critical computing over the course of a career where he has held senior positions in Digital Equipment Corporation, Mentec and Xpert Technology. Previously Declan was Managing Director of Redstone Technology and led their development into Ireland’s leading enterprise computing specialists.
A chartered accountant and an associate of the Irish Taxation Institute, Tom is a graduate of UCC and The Smurfit School of Business at UCD. He qualified with Deloitte in Cork and London, where he worked predominantly in the Telecoms and Technology sectors. He has also gained experience as financial controller with Balfour Beatty Capital in London and was engaged in the project finance sector with the National Treasury Management Agency in Dublin.
Stephen has over twenty-five years’ experience in the IT industry, working in large enterprise organisations, originally as an IT manager and now consulting, advising and selling enterprise infrastructure solutions. He consults with customers and partners and advises on complex IT transformation projects, cloud strategies, solution design, infrastructure surveys, proposal development and solution feasibility discussions.
Karl is an experienced senior professional with over 30 years’ ICT industry experience, both at a global and local level. His experience includes combining team/function management and strong business operations, business development and service delivery management, and a personal consulting and education specialisation in service management-based strategies, design and delivery. Karl is a proven IT leader with a track record in strategy execution and business development. He has consulted extensively advising organisations on Business and ICT strategy, outsourcing and organisation change. He holds a 1st Class Honours in MSc Strategic Management and is a leader in Irish industry in service management best practice. He is a founding officer, past Chairman & honorary member for Ireland’s itSMF (IT Service Management Forum) Chapter in Ireland promoting Service Management as a strategic industry best practice.
John has worked with PFH Technology Group for over twenty-five years. He has held a number of positions including Sales & Marketing Manager and also as Logistics Manager where his primary role was the delivery of product quality, the management of PFH’s supply chain and its customer service personnel.
Elaine joined the team in 2010 and is responsible for the strategic and operational management of critical business delivery functions including logistics & warehousing; procurement service contracts & delivery management; procurement and ordering sales support and client-centre reporting. Prior to joining PFH, Elaine was an Audit Manager in EY. She is a graduate of University College Cork, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Chris has over thirty-five years’ experience in the ICT industry, both in Ireland and in the UK. He is responsible for all the Maintenance, Warranty, Managed Services, Helpdesk, Cloud services and Talent Acquisition services at PFH. He previously worked as an ICT Engineer in a project and service capacity and now has ultimate responsibility for all service operations for over 1,400 customers. Recently Chris project-managed the largest IT rollout and upgrade process in Ireland, managing over 37,000 devices and over seventy engineers on the project in a nationwide project servicing over 2,000 separate locations. Chris holds a Masters in Management and Marketing from UCC, an Honours degree in HR, an Engineering degree and an ITIL accreditation amongst other industry accreditations.
