Five years ago, HP began targeting ocean-bound plastics specifically, and so far, HP’s programs to divert ocean-bound plastics have kept more than 1.8 million pounds of plastic materials, or more than 65 million bottles, out of the environment. The 2030 circularity goal means three-quarters of the materials by weight in HP products and packaging must be reused, recycled, or renewable.
HP Envy Inspire Sustainable design made of recycled plastic, HP Elite Dragonfly is the world’s first notebook made with ocean-bound plastic, 7 EPEAT® certified, recognized in the CES Innovation Awards 2020. Speaker box made with 50% postconsumer recycled plastic, including 5% ocean-bound plastics, over 80% of all mechanical parts in the HP Elite Dragonfly are made from recycled materials. With HP setting an industry-leading goal of using 30% recycled materials in all products across personal systems and printing by the year 2025, the Elite Dragonfly puts to the best of these motivations to great effect — and is a sign of the future.
